OUR FAVORITE PLACES AND EATS

One of our favorite things to do together in the city is explore new coffee shops and restaurants. Here are some of our favorite spots and ideas to check out while you’re in town!

    • La Colombe - Enjoy the iced draft lattes

    • Blue Bottle Coffee - Great spot to enjoy views of the Chicago River

    • Tary - A weekend favorite to enjoy a coffee and breakfast

    • Sawada Coffee - Located in the West Loop neighborhood, this is a go to spot for coffee + matcha

    • Parlor Pizza - Casual pizza spot great for big groups

    • Gilt Bar / Ciccio Mio / Bavette’s Steakhouse - Three restaurants nestled together on the same block of Kinzie St and part of our favorite Hogsalt Restaurant group

    • Green Street Meats - Located in West Loop, this is our go-to spot for counter serve Texas BBQ and hearty side dishes

    • Ramen San / Sushi-San - One of our go-to spots when we’re craving ramen or sushi

    • Akiro Hand Roll Bar - All seating is at the counter and offers fresh Japanese and Peruvian fusion bites

    • Crying Tiger - Great spot to try Southeast Asian cuisine

    • The Noodle - If you are visiting Chinatown, this is our favorite spot to get Pho

    • Daebak Korean BBQ - Located in Wicker Park, our favorite Korean BBQ spot serves great meats, side dishes, and beer. Great for a big group as well

    • Chiu Quon Bakery - If visiting Chinatown, a go-to spot is this cash only Chinese bakery. Favorites include the BBQ Pork buns and Taro bun

    • Levain Bakery - Popular for their chocolate chip cookies and other baked goods

    • Fado Irish Pub - Cozy Irish pub in River North, great spot for a cold pint and hearty meal

    • Gus’ Sip & Dip - Serves crafted cocktails and warm dipped sandwiches. Menu includes a classic Wisconsin old fashion

    • Cindy’s Rooftop - Perched atop the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, Cindy’s provides a great view of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan

    • Chicago Riverwalk - Steps away from our apartment, this is a great path to go for a walk with city views

    • The Art Institute of Chicago - Located downtown by Millennium Park. This museum is home to a collection of art that spans centuries and the globe. It’s also where we took our engagement photos
